Microneedling (COSMOPen™)

Microneedling for Skin Rejuvenation

Service Description

Introduction: The objective of this project is to perform microneedling, a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure, on a patient to promote skin rejuvenation and address specific skin concerns. Microneedling involves the use of a device equipped with tiny needles that create controlled micro-injuries to the skin, stimulating the natural healing process and triggering collagen and elastin production. This project aims to outline the entire process, from pre-treatment preparation to post-treatment care, to ensure a safe and effective microneedling experience for the patient. Pre-Treatment Phase: During the pre-treatment phase, several important steps will be followed: a. Patient Consultation and Assessment: The patient will be assessed to determine their suitability for microneedling. Factors such as skin type, medical history, current skin condition, and specific concerns will be evaluated. Any contraindications or potential risks will be identified. b. Informed Consent: The patient will be provided with detailed information about the procedure, including benefits, risks, expected outcomes, and any potential side effects. Informed consent will be obtained to ensure the patient understands and agrees to undergo the microneedling treatment. c. Skin Preparation: The patient will receive instructions on how to prepare their skin before the procedure. This may involve avoiding certain medications, topical products, or treatments that could interfere with the process. They may also be advised to cleanse their skin and refrain from wearing makeup on the day of the procedure. Microneedling Procedure: The microneedling procedure will consist of the following steps: a. Cleansing and Numbing: The patient's skin will be thoroughly cleansed to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup. Topical anesthetic may be applied to minimize discomfort during the procedure. The anesthetic will be allowed to take effect for the recommended duration. b. Microneedling Treatment: A specialized microneedling device will be used to create controlled micro-injuries on the patient's skin. The device will be gently rolled or stamped over the targeted area(s) to ensure even coverage. The depth of needle penetration will be adjusted based on the patient's skin condition and desired outcome. c. Serum or Topical Application: During the microneedling treatment, a serum or topical solution containing beneficial ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, peptides, or growth factors may be applied.
